Niall Murphy is a solicitor working in Belfast. His human rights legal practice encompasses many of the issues and challenges that society faces in the context of a rise in right wing ideology. Freedom of speech, the importance of independent investigative journalism, and perhaps most fundamentally the right of access to the court by citizens.

Niall will speak in relation to the immunity afforded by the recent Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Bill and dissect the serious societal issues posed by the Bill with regards to how our society deals with the past and looks to the future.
