PhD School on Antislavery and Trafficking with Kevin Bales

Applications are Now Open!

PhD Candidates writing in the area of slavery studies or trafficking are invited to apply for participation in the Utrecht Network’s interdisciplinary PhD School in Brno, Czech Republic, from 21-25 November 2016.

Come spend the week with those writing in the same area as you who come from different countries and different disciplines; and join Profs Kevin Bales, Jean Allain, Katerina Uhlirova, and special guests learning the art of interdisciplinary research and the practicalities of academic life.

The Brno PhD School charges a tuition fee of 600 and which includes the in-class sessions, the food and accommodations, and a fieldtrip to the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime.  That fee does not include transportation to or from Brno, participants are required to make their own travel arrangements.

Deadline of Applications is 20 September 2016.

This week-long event is co-hosted within the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University by Academic Committee of LEF PhD Schools of the Utrecht Network and Antislavery Usable Past, a project funded by the United Kingdom Arts & Humanities Research Council.
