Prof Allain Appointment as Special Adviser to Anti-Slavery International
Anti-Slavery International was founded in 1839, and works to eliminate all forms of slavery around the world.
Professor Jean Allain has recently been appointed as Special Adviser to Anti-Slavery International, the world's oldest international human rights organisation.
Together with Anti-Slavery International, Prof. Allain will be carrying out a number of initiative which seek to ensure that States and the United Nations are fulfilling their legal obligations around issues of slavery, servitude and forced labour.
Anti-Slavery International was founded in 1839, and works to eliminate all forms of slavery around the world. In November, Prof. Allain shared the stage with Dr Aidan McQuaid, the Director of Anti-Slavery International, in giving the prestigious 2015 Theo van Boven Lecture.
