Catherine's talk draws upon her experience of teaching and legal practice, and techniques in neuro-linguistics. Her work supports the
delivery of demonstrable change in the teaching of professional legal skills nationally. Her textbook, Legal Systems and Skills (OUP),
has been widely adopted across the sector. It responds to the increasing emphasis on skills and the growing alignment between academic and professional legal education. Her writing is informed by experience and expertise in teaching and legal practice, research into her own students’ experiences, scholarship in teaching and learning, and interest in neuro-linguistics.
