School of Law Charity Committee Raises Over £1,350 for Friends of the Cancer Centre
£1,353.52 raised for the Friends of the Cancer Centre
The School of Law is proud to announce that our Charity Committee raised an impressive £1,353.52 for Friends of the Cancer Centre in 2025. To reach this fantastic total, the Committee organised a series of fundraising initiatives, including a book sale, merchandise sale, ‘Guess the Sweet Jar’ challenge, and a staff ballot.
For 40 years, Friends of the Cancer Centre has been making a meaningful difference to cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland. The charity funds 21 Clinical Nurse Specialists, supports local research, and provides essential financial assistance to those in need. Importantly, every donation stays in Northern Ireland, directly benefiting local patients and their families.
This achievement reflects the generosity and commitment of our staff and students. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed — your support truly matters.
Charity Committee member Caitríona Brennan commented, “We’re delighted to support Friends of the Cancer Centre, a charity that does incredible work for patients and families across Northern Ireland. Every pound raised makes a real difference, and we’re so grateful to everyone in the School of Law community who contributed to this effort.”
